家を設計するとき、一番大事にしていることは風通しです。
風通しを考えることは、「空気の間取り」をつくることだと思っています。
家の中を、無理なく自然に空気が流れてゆく、
そんな「空気の間取り」を考えます。
それが上手くいけば、きっといい家になるでしょう。
風通しのいい家は、体感が違います。
体感のいい家は、着心地のいい普段着のようなものだと思います。
飽きのこない、肩のこらない、快適な普段着のような家を設計していきたいと思っています。
I am an architect based in Kyoto. In the realm of residential design, the paramount consideration is ventilation. Conceptualizing ventilation entails crafting a “layout for air.” This involves meticulously planning the natural and effortless circulation of air throughout the dwelling. Successfully achieving this “layout for air” invariably culminates in a superior home. A well-ventilated house offers a distinct physical sensation, akin to wearing comfortable everyday attire that remains perpetually pleasing and never becomes cumbersome. Our ambition is to design homes that embody this sense of enduring comfort—homes that are inviting, devoid of discomfort, and timeless in their appeal.
